Obamacare has been a failure in many ways and has been a disaster for many different groups—in particular, Americans trying to get health insurance.
The very name given to the legislation was the Affordable Care Act. And it has proven to be anything but.
In my opinion, Obamacare cannot be “fixed.” It needs to be replaced. But I have seen numerous alternative proposals from Republicans in Washington that make sense. These are plans that are patient-centered, that don’t get between you and your doctor and that are designed to be financially workable. So there is room for optimism.
The sooner we can rid ourselves of Obamacare, the sooner we can put into place a much better system that works for all of us—here in South Carolina, and all over the country.
