Business Advocates Praise Campbell’s Record
(Charleston, SC) – State Senator Paul Campbell (R, District 44) has announced that he will not seek re-election to the South Carolina State Senate in 2020.
“A man has to know when it’s time to take a few steps back and enjoy life with family and friends.” Senator Campbell said.
Senator Campbell has been known as a staunch supporter of South Carolina’s business community, especially that of the state’s lowcountry. Campbell continued, “I’m most proud of the jobs we’ve created for South Carolina’s working class families and the growth we’ve helped make possible in the Lowcountry. It has been a true honor to serve the people of Berkeley, Dorchester and Charleston Counties, helping to keep taxes low, providing crucial constituent services, supporting conservation efforts and fighting for the shared values we hold so dear.”
In response to the news, Senate President Harvey Peeler said “Paul Campbell is a proven job creator. He has been a voice of reason and experience on all matters related to economic development. We will certainly miss his advice.”
Leaders in South Carolina’s business community were quick to praise Campbell’s record.
